Selection Process
A note about our vendor selection process:
BABSCon strives to curate vendors in such a way to prevent overrepresentation of any one type of vendor. For example, the majority of the vendors in the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange will not be print sellers. This helps both BABSCon's vendors and attendees by giving more options for what's available. As such, please be very descriptive in what you're selling on the application! More tips and instructions will be attached to the application.
THe following application is for Vendors, Charities, and other Conventions wishing to table at BABSCon 2018
Full Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange Policies
General Policies: While in the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange, all convention rules as well as local, state, and federal laws must be observed. Vendors and artists agree to follow any instructions given by BABSCon staff. All vendors and artists must have a government-issued photo ID and Seller’s Permit to check into the vendor’s hall or artist alley and make sales. You must be 18 years or older or be accompanied by someone 18 years or older to vend at the convention.
Early Access: Vendors and artists will be given early access to the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange for setup and preparation. You must have checked in and received your badge before you can begin setting up your table.
Cost of Tables: All tables cost $150 and include a three-day badge. Additional badges for people at your table may be purchased for $40, up to a maximum of three additional badges per table. Tables are standard 6-foot tables. All vendor tables include power.
Transfer of Ownership: Each table is registered to a single vendor or artist at purchase. No purchased table may be transferred to another vendor or artist. If the owning vendor or artist needs to back out, please email vendors@babscon.com immediately. Please note that vendor tables are nonrefundable.
No-Shows: If a vendor or artist fails to check in for their table by noon on Saturday, they will be considered a no-show and their tables will be offered for sale on a first come, first served basis. Lost tables cannot be reclaimed, and neither credit, nor refund will be given for No-Show tables.
Signage: All business names on table signage should match the information that was used when registering for the table. For example, if “Hold Me Closer” was put down as the table name on the application but all the signs say “Tiny Dancer,” the signage must be removed. BABSCon will provide complimentary table signage for use at the table. This sinage may be kept or removed at the vendor’s prerogative. Vendors and artists are requested not to move or tamper with any other BABSCon signage.
Structures: BABSCon does not impose a specific height restriction on table displays. Any structure brought to display artwork or merchandise must be of sound construction. If any structure falls down, appears unstable, or blocks too much light, the vendor to whom it belongs will be asked to remove it by BABSCon staff. Displays behind your table may neither impede upon other vendor's areas, nor disrupt traffic flow in case of emergency.
If you plan to bring additional tables, please email vendors@babscon.com.
Behavior: Vendors are required to adhere to all convention conduct policies.
Noise: Overly loud music, videos, etc. will not be tolerated in the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange. If the amount of sound coming from a table is found to be disruptive as determined by BABSCon staff, the vendor will be asked to lower the volume. Further noise violations may result in the vendor being removed from the Rainbow Falls Trader Exchange.
Theft: The vendor agrees that the BABSCon staff may act as their agents for the purposes of investigating suspected shoplifting incidents. BABSCon does not guarantee the return of any stolen items.
Changes: BABSCon reserves the right to make changes to the vendor and artist policies. Every effort will be made to extend vendors and artists the courtesy of an announcement of the changes prior to their implementation.
